What is the Telenor Tax Certificate?
Telenor Tax Certificate is also known as Telenor Withholding Tax Certificate. If you are a Telenor network user on every recharge a withholding tax is deducted which can be claimed at the time of filing of your Income tax return.
Methods for obtaining a Telenor Tax Certificate
Telenor offers the following methods to obtain a Telenor Tax Certificate. The methods are explained in detail below:
- Through Telenor App
- Through Website Chat
- Contacting Telenor Customer Care by Phone
- Through Email
- By Visiting Nearest Franchise
1. Through Telenor App
In this method, you can obtain your Telenor Tax Certificate by downloading and registering the Telenor App. First of all, if you are an Android user you can download “My Telenor” App from play store and if you are Apple user you can download the “My Telenor” app from Apple Store.
After downloading the “My Telenor” app you will have to register yourself through your Telenor mobile number. Then, log in to the main home screen of the My Telenor app it will look like the below picture.
At this point, click on the 3 lines at the top right corner of the picture. A menu at the right side of the screen will open. Click on the “Tax Certificate” Tab as shown in the picture below.
After the above steps, a new menu will open where you will have to input the required information such as Mobile number, CNIC Number, Desired Tax year/Fiscal Year, and email address as show.
After providing the above information click on proceed, a verification tab will be open as shown below and a code will be sent to your mobile number.
Now enter the verification code and click on the download button. Now your Telenor Tax Certificate will appear as shown below. Furthermore, a copy of your Telenor Tax Certificate will also be sent to your email. You can download it from there as well.
2. Through Website Chat
You can request your Telenor Tax Certificate by visiting the Telenor official website. After opening the Telenor official website (Telenor – Telenor Pakistan). Click on the “Help & Support” on the top right corner as shown in the below picture:
After clicking on “Help & Support” a new window will open. Now, click on “Telenor Customer Care” which can be seen in the very right corner down.
After following the above steps, a small dialogue box will appear as show in the picture below. Now, fill out the form. It will ask for your name & Phone number, as can be seen in the image below;
After, entering your information it will be automatically redirected to a live window chat as shown below.
Now here type your query regarding the Tax Certificate and after some formal questions e.g. Desired Tax year you will be provided with your Certificate by the customer care representative.
3. Contacting Telenor Customer Care by Phone
In this method, you can obtain the certificate by dialing the helpline (345) or by dialing UAN (042111345100) from your mobile’s dial pad.
After dialing any of the above numbers, follow the voice prompt to connect with a customer care representative. At this stage, ask the representative for a Telenor Tax Certificate the representative will verify your identity by asking for your phone number and CNIC and additionally, some other information after verification you will be asked for the desired tax year e.g. (2022 – 2023).
Atlast, you will be asked for an email address to which the telenor tax certificate will be sent accordingly.
4. Through Email
You can get your Telenor Tax Certificate by emailing customer care. You just need to send an email to telenor345@telenor.com.pk along with the following attachments;
- Scanned CNIC with both sides (Probably saved in PDF format)
- Your Telenor mobile number
- Desired Tax Year (e.g. Tax year 2023 OR July 2022 – June 2023)
- Email address
Note: To streamline the process, simple write “Request for Telenor Certificate” in the Subject of the email.
5. By Visiting Nearest Franchise
In this method, you will have to visit the nearest available Telenor franchise to obtain your Telenor Tax Certificate. The staff there will assist you further with your queries.
Common problems and solution tips when acquiring certificate:
During the process of obtaining a Telenor Tax Certificate, you may face some issues or roadblocks. Here are some troubleshooting tips to help you overcome those challenges.
1) Incorrect Information:
When you obtain your Telenor Tax Certificate thoroughly review each and everything if you find any issue in your personal details e.g. Name, NTN contact Telenor customer care through the website, helpline, or app. Provide them with the correct and up-to-date information and request a revised Telenor Tax Certificate.
2) Delayed or missing Certificate:
If you have not received your Telenor Tax Certificate within the due timeframe kindly check the spam/junk folder of your email address provided at the time of applying, because sometimes the Telenor Tax Certificate may end up there. But, if you still cannot find it in any of the above folders contact Telenor customer care for assistance.
3) Technical difficulties with the online Portal:
