PTCL Tax Certificate

PTCL withholding tax certificate shows the amount of tax that has been charged by PTCL in bills over a specific period of time. PTCL charges tax on PTCL bills u/s 236 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, however, the same is adjustable in the Income tax returns.

Why do you need PTCL WHT Certificate?

The tax collected by PTCL in bills is adjustable in nature and may be claimed in your Income tax return of the respective tax year. Hence, the same may either reduce your Income tax liability or increase your income tax refund as the case may be.

How to download PTCL Tax Certificate?

The step by step process of downloading PTCL withholding tax certificate is provided as under;

1. Click on the link to go to PTCL official website to download PTCL Tax Certificate. (https://ptcl.com.pk/CustomerTax/TaxInquiry)
2. You will be redirected to a page, which will look like the image provided below.

3. Select the relevant service type from the check box at the top of the form. Select landline if you want withholding tax certificate for landline and vice versa.

4. Select the Area Code from the Area Code field.

5. Provide phone number in the Phone No. field.

6. Provide the Account ID in the Account ID field. The account ID will be available on the PTCL bill.

7. Select the range from the range field. However, for the purpose of claiming in Income tax return, the period is usually from the month of July to June.

8. Enter the Captcha text in the Captcha field.

9. Click on Inquire Tax.
